Self-Sustainable - Chicken Farming (Zimbabwe)

Self-Sustainable projects are an amazing way to help individuals generate their own income to help provide for themselves and their families

Chicken Farming

This is a great way for anybody to become self-sufficient and provide their own income. Whether chickens are raised for meat or eggs the beneficiary can always re-invest providing them with a constant source of revenue

Broiler Chickens

Broiler chickens are raised and sold after around 6 weeks for a profit. There is a high market demand for broiler chickens and they have a big profit margin and are easy to sell

Cost: £260 (for 100 broiler chickens - day old chicks will be provided)

The costs will cover feed (starter, growers and finisher), vaccines, feeders, drinkers and other expenses

Chicken Layers

Point of lay chickens can start laying eggs after 4-6 weeks and can lay eggs for more than a year. There is always a high demand for eggs. After laying eggs they can also be sold for meat

Cost: £950 (for 100 point of lay chicks)

The costs will cover feed (starter, growers and layers mash), vaccines, feeders, drinkers and other expenses

Feedback will be provided to donor for these projects

This campaign is Sadaqah, Lillah & Zakat applicable
