We are heartened to see the amazing response from our donors and supporters for our emergency appeal to help people affected by the flooding in Bangladesh. Everyone has rallied wonderfully to help the people suffering from the floods and we are sure your efforts are greatly appreciated by the beneficiaries
Flood Response
We began our emergency response by collaborating with other teams on the ground in Bangladesh to send emergency funds where it can be utilised best. Initially, people needed help with food, medicine and shelter after being left devastated from the floods
Soon we were able to utilise our own members and volunteers in Bangladesh to provide aid to those most affected by the floods
We were also able to hold events and fundraisers in the UK to raise awareness and funds to send over to Bangladesh. We were pleased to see many people get together and volunteer their time and efforts to help those less fortunate
Further Response
Although we were able to provide a little emergency help initially, there is still more work needed to be done. Even after the water levels recede, people will still be left with damaged homes, ruined crops and more. Our aim is to still help people recover afterwards, even after news of the floods may not be in international awareness
